Daily Life & Activities at Sweet Haven

At Sweet Haven, our days follow a gentle, flexible flow that meets each child where they are developmentally, from infants to preschoolers. We balance nurturing care, play-based exploration, and early learning to create a home environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to grow.

Every day includes opportunities for movement, creativity, social connection, and quiet rest, all guided by the natural rhythm of the children in care.

A Gentle Daily Flow

While our schedule is flexible, our days typically include:

  • Warm morning welcome & transition into care

  • Free play and exploration

  • Circle time with songs, stories, and language development

  • Preschool learning activities blended with play

  • Outdoor time in our backyard and playground space

  • Nutritious meals and snacks

  • Nap and quiet rest time

  • Creative art, sensory play, and hands-on learning

  • Calm afternoon play and connection before pickup

Infants follow their own individual feeding and sleep schedules to ensure comfort and consistency with home routines.

Learning Through Play + Preschool Foundations

At Sweet Haven, children learn through a thoughtful blend of play-based learning and preschool readiness activities. This allows children to explore naturally while building important early skills.

We focus on:

  • Early literacy and language development

  • Numbers, colors, shapes, and problem-solving

  • Fine and gross motor skills

  • Sensory exploration

Daily Communication With Families

Strong communication with parents is very important to me. I provide daily updates about your child’s day, and photo updates and communication are available upon request. My goal is for families to feel connected, informed, and confident while their child is in care.

A Day Filled With Care, Learning, and Joy

At Sweet Haven, children are nurtured in a home environment where they can play, learn, rest, and simply be children. Each day is designed to feel warm, engaging, and meaningful — supporting both development and happiness.

Want me to also create:

  • a shorter homepage version, and

  • a “Curriculum & Learning Philosophy” page

Those two pages together really help convert tour inquiries.
